Check boxes and “Save New Configuration” to:
Configure variables including Collection and Library names, Privacy Policy and Presenting Label (usually your library’s or friend/foundation’s group name).
Show Rights Message that will appear at the bottom of all track lists, including albums and playlists.
Allow Track Favorites: allow users signed in with a library card to add individual tracks to a Favorites list that they access in their Favorites (note: this feature is always available for admin users)
Open the site to the public: something you will likely only do once, when you’re ready to publish your first collection of albums. This will switch the site from displaying a simple landing page with a “No Collection Banner” to a full MUSICat homepage including banners and albums in your collection.
Turn track downloads on or off at the site level (can be overridden for individual albums in the Review and Publish stage).
Show links to FAQ, About, and Curator pages at the top of your site (these pages display by default at the bottom only).
Sitewide promotional banner: Broadcast a message to everyone who visits your MUSICat site, no matter where they navigate (often used for promoting submission rounds). Add a message, choose your text and background color, and add a target URL for clicks.
First, add your logos and images to MUSICat using the Asset Manager (found under the Templates drop down) and give them a purpose of “logo”. Note: use logos on a white (rather than transparent) background.
On the Config page, under Collection Logos and Images, click “CHOOSE ASSET…” to select header and footer logos. This will display all images from your asset manager marked with “logo” as their purpose. Note that if you have not assigned your logos a purpose in the Asset Manager, you can can choose to view all asset types to see and select any image saved in the Asset Manager.
The “No Collection” banner is the main image on your site’s home page before you “open your site to the public” i.e. before any albums or artists are published and listed on your site.
Add your No Collection Banner using the Asset Manager (found under the Templates drop down) and give them a purpose of “banner”.
On the Config page, under Collection Logos and Images, find the “No Collection Banner” section and click “CHOOSE ASSET…” Note that if you have not assigned your banner a purpose in the Asset Manager, you can can choose to view all asset types to see and select any image saved in the Asset Manager.
